About
Masters of Education (M.Ed) is a 2-year masters programme. The course is for those people who are aiming to become teachers, professors or work in education industry. A student needs to have a B.Ed/ B.El.Ed or B.A. in Education from any recognized university to pursue M.Ed. course. The M.Ed. course can be availed in both full-time and distance education mode. There are various recognized universities in India which offer a M.Ed. course.
The Syllabus
Along with theoritical knowledge, he curriculum of M.Ed involves a great amount of practical work.
Students are encouraged to prepare dissertations, join internships, pursue academic writing, and attend workshops and seminars as a part of the M.Ed syllabus.

M.Ed Subjects
The M.Ed course curriculum includes various subjects from different fields. The elective subjects depend on the choice of subjects in the B.Ed course, but the compulsory subjects or the core subjects are almost similar for most top M.Ed colleges.
Admission Process
Admission to M.Ed is on the basis of merit. The admission process and selection criteria vary from university to university. Some private universities or state conduct their own entrance examinations. The selection is done on the basis of the cut-off lists after B.Ed. result.
After the M.Ed Results are declared, institutes release their own merit lists on the basis of the students’ performance. Some institutes release different lists for different categories.
Eligibility
🔸 B.Ed/ B.El.Ed or B.A. in Education from any recognized university.
🔹 Minimum Marks Aggregate: 50% to 60% (Please note: this varies from college to college)
